When passion meets precision

What is BJJ & No-Gi?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is widely recognized as one of the fastest-growing martial arts and combat sports globally. Its expansion is driven by a unique combination of full-contact training without high-impact head trauma, verifiable effectiveness, and commercial viability.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling-based martial art focused on technique, leverage, and control—built to help smaller people defend against bigger opponents. It’s not about brute strength, it’s about smart movement and strategy.

No-Gi BJJ is the same art, just without the traditional kimono (gi). Instead, you train in shorts and a rashguard, making it faster, more dynamic, and closer to real-life scenarios like MMA or self-defence.

Why It's So Good:

Boosts confidence and discipline

Builds real self-defence skills

Improves fitness, mobility, and mental clarity

Creates strong bonds in a supportive, ego-free community

BJJ teaches you how powerful your body can be—through movement, control, and resilience, not force.

Whether you’re here to get in shape, learn to protect yourself, or just challenge your mind and body—BJJ has something for everyone.

How Our Adult Classes Work

Walking into a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu academy for the first time can feel intimidating. At our academy, we eliminate the guesswork. Every adult class runs on a structured, 60-minute framework designed around biomechanics, safety, and progressive learning—not mindless exhaustion or chaotic scrambles.

Whether you are stepping on the mats for your first trial or refining your fundamentals, here is exactly what each session looks like:

---

### Class Breakdown: 60 Minutes

1. Grappling-Specific Mobility | 10 mins |

Hip escapes (shrimping), breakfalls, technical stand-ups, and core rotational drills. | We skip generic boot-camp calisthenics. Our warm-ups lubricate the joints, prepare the spine, and teach your body how to fall and move safely under zero risk.

2. Conceptual Instruction | 10 mins |

Breaking down 2–3 connected movements based on leverage, balance, and mechanical frames.

You won't just see a "trick"—you will learn the *why*. Our coaches focus on weight distribution and skeletal framing so technique works regardless of your size or strength.

3. Guided Partner Drilling | 20 mins |

Static repetitions followed by progressive, low-resistance situational drilling with a training partner. |
Safe, controlled repetitions build tactile muscle memory. You get comfortable with the mechanics before adding any live resistance.

4. Positional & Free Sparring | 15 mins |

Controlled, objective-based sparring starting strictly from the day's specific position, followed by controlled rolling. No aimless wrestling. Both partners have a clear objective (e.g., recover guard or pass). The moment an objective is met, you reset safely.

5. Cool-Down & Technical Debrief

| 5 mins | Regulated diaphragmatic breathing, recovery stretching,

What to Wear | Clean, athletic clothing with no pockets, zips, or metal (a rashguard or fitted t-shirt and gym shorts/leggings). We transition to formal uniforms (Gi) after your trial period.

*Physical Readiness**You do not need to be "in shape" to start. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu conditioning develops through training. Pace yourself, breathe, and rest whenever necessary.

*Safety & Culture** We operate a strictly controlled, ego-free mat. Tapping out is an educational tool to reset and learn, and safety is the absolute priority for every student in the room.

“BJJ helps me stay calm and handle stressful situations better—both on and off the mats.”
